Events Scheduled for 2008-2009

For the 2008-2009 academic year, CTA offers two Good Teaching Conferences and statewide conferences on Rural Issues, Urban Issues, and Equity and Human Rights.
  1. The Good Teaching Conference is on January 11-13, 2008 in Northern California (at the Hyatt Regency in Burlingame) and on March 7-9, 2008 in Southern California (location not yet determined). 
  2. The Rural Issues Conference is on January 18-20, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada. 
  3. The Urban Issues Conference is on February 29-March 2, 2008 in Northern California (location not yet determined). 
  4. The Equity and Human Rights Conference is on March 28-30, 2008 in Southern California (location not yet determined).
A sampling of workshops offered at these events include: Educational Leadership, Testing and Accountability, Multicultural Education, Parental Involvement, and Classroom Management.

 If you are a member who would like to attend a conference please contact Pete McNamara at (858) 752-9757 or at pmcna@sdcoe.net. After the Executive Council approves the request, the A of E will pay for your conference fee, hotel stay, and transportation costs.
